Stratford and Goose Creek took the field Friday night in a game that decided the Region 6-AAAAA Champion. Stratford came into the game seeking their first title since 2006, while Goose Creek has won the last five. The game started with the Knights finding themselves in an early 14-0 hole, but the resurgent Stratford squad continued to battle and chip away at the Goose Creek lead. The Knights, 4-1 in their last five ball games found life in the ground game. Senior running back Markell Holman led the way. He amassed 233 yards on 25 carries for the night. Sophomore Jachin Davis had a big night as well. He rushed 20 times for 157 yards and five touchdowns, he also completed 8/13 passes for 60 yards. Tyler Stament chipped in a field goal for the Knights in what would prove to be the difference in the score. Junior tight end Jacob Deacon led the Knight receivers with four catches for 36 yards. 

With the win the Knights claim the #1 Seed from Region 6 and will take on the Chapin Eagles next Friday night at Ray Stackley Field! Congratulations to the Knights!
